Developed by the City, with our help, and the input of industry practitioners and government agencies, the guide is a comprehensive, user-friendly resource for filmmakers on shooting within Melbourne’s city limits. 'The Slap' leaves its mark
ABC’s new series The Slap, based on the novel of the same name, was able to utilise many of the locations true to the original narrative thanks to the support of Darebin Council and the community.

Killer Elite
We’re excited about the upcoming release of Killer Elite – and not just because it stars Jason Statham, Robert De Niro and Clive Owen. Killer Elite takes full advantage of Melbourne’s versatility, doubling for the UK, Oman and Paris and making use of dozens of the city’s beautiful locations.

John Doe
Fans of the sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica might have seen actor Jamie Bamber walking the streets of Melbourne recently. He’s been here shooting the new anti-hero movie John Doe, playing the title character.
John Doe was secured with the assistance of Film Victoria and is set for a release in 2012.
